Basic Coverage area
by Hydrofanatics.com

On most Grow system you have to understand that its mostly based on the systems power that determines the Coverage area and not the bulb. If you buy a 1000 Watt System its not going to cover a whole room thats 12' x 12' because its a 1000 Watts. The System is what throws your power. Lets just say its like an engine V8 straight power but the better the gas the better it runs But no real change to your miles. Your Grow systems work the same way. For example take your 1000W HPS Sun System set it up with your Sun System Large Horizontal Reflector. raise it off the Ground about  5.5ft to 6ft .Ok you have your setup now all you need is your Hydroponics, Drip, Soil or what ever. That unit will sit on the ground and come up to about 1.6ft.or taller. Now your ready to add your FUEL your BULB thats were your Color and true light output (Lumens) comes from. Most 1000 Watt Grow bulbs are about the same they run on 1000W Systems But Some Bulb Manufactures Spend more time on tyring to perfect the best light output (Lumens/Color) bulbs But after our study they might have a better light output But dont last as long as your standard Grow bulbs There perfect for one or two farvest But the life span starts to less after that It is recomanded to switch out your bulbs every year to get the best light output of them for best Growth for your crop.Ok now you have your Bulb in and now you need to know were your dead Spot is by using a Light meter or taking a couple peaces of White sheets of  School drawing paper and cover a 7' x 7' with it under your Reflector. Ok now turn your system on let it run for about 5 to10 minutes ok turn your house hold lights off and just let your Grow system run. Now look at the paper you should be able to see a line about 5' x 5' or what ever around the paper take a pencil mark the the paper were it starts to shadow out right at the line. (Note: Diffrent Reflectors make diffrent sizes of Grow area's) Ok now turn your house lights back on take some whit masking tape and lift the paper and mark the flooring were your pencil line were on the paper now you have your Coverage area were you will get 95% to 100% of your light.

Dont have a grow system yet? heres some Basic Coverage area by Watts:

(Note: Diffrent Reflectors make diffrent sizes of Grow area's)
